I hope you people are happy. You have Juliana whipped up into such a frenzy she's nearly impossible to live with. Don D--we may not be able to get up to the area until 2 pm Friday due to other committments I have. (We live about 45 minutes south of the Rumney area.) Not sure who you were planning to meet when you arrived. My cell # is 603-801-2116 if anyone needs to get in touch with me (and therefore Juliana). I am on my way now to start baking for the weekend--cookies, muffins, breads......any requests? -Diane (bet you guys didn't know I have a name besides "Juliana's Mom")

This is going to be fun. I must say that I am a bit worried though. I'm bad enough with names, but now everyone is going to have two. Ohh man is this ever going to tax my brain.

Sitting at work and wondering if this day is ever going to end. Plus, I have to work tomorrow as well. I think I am going to see if I can squeeze out a bit early and try to get there at a decent time. For all of you that will be in Rumney tomorrow climbing enjoy!!!

Mum, We want cheesecake. Lots of it. And then some more cheesake. Cookies are acceptable as well... personally I prefer sugar cookies. Everyone else: Be prepared to be called by your username. I can't remember my own name half the time, never mind several different names for everyone else. :p

I know exactly how you all feel. This day is just dragging on, and I'll I can think about is leaving T.O. behind for a nice long weekend of quality climbing, and fun. Six hours long hours to goooooo, and I'm off. I think were going to hit Cathedral Ledge on the way down Friday before meeting up with you all. Does anyone have any suggestions on classic routes to climb. I check out Thin Air (5.6) 5pitch climb looks pretty good. Any comments...

I sure hope we're not made to wear one of those stick-on name tags ... I can't wait ... time is going by sooo slooooow ... everything's packed, music found and packed, trusty guitar tuned and packed ... what am I missing ????? I hate the feeling that I'm forgetting something ... must go back over the check list one more time

Stick-on name tags.... hmm... actually, it's not a horrible idea... *prints out a sign that reads HELLO, MY NAME IS: _____juliana_____ and tapes it to her back* Edit: You'll all recognize me in my RC.com t-shirt. [ This Message was edited by: juliana on 2002-10-10 08:54 ]

Marbrown, Thin Air is great (or so I hear from all my friends). Classic, so there might well be people on it. Good luck! Other great routes are Standard Route (7, five pitches), Pine Tree Eliminate (8, one pitch), the Beast Flake variation of Recompense (9, four pitches), and Stage Fright (12c X, one pitch). Just kidding about that last one. Have fun!

Luckily for me I all ready know a few of the people attending...so that's a few less names I'll need to recall and I have nearly four days to do it. btw *smile* Can we just call Ms Diane “Mom” for short? Ok, so my partner is on her way to Vegas. I will be meeting her there at about 6 this evening. We’ll hang around for about 5 hours then hop on our flight to Newark. Should land around 6 a.m. tomorrow morning. Ugh…long flight. Lew has graciously offered to pick us up in the limo (mini-van) and take us to the crag/hostel. I’m looking forward to meeting you all…and to finally take a well-deserved vacation with my partner! For all of you who are traveling… whether it be a few feet or a few thousand miles…we wish you well and will see you soon. ~Rob & T

I am just sitting here trying to figure my map out. There are no direct roads out that way from here. Adam is !!!! The reason he took this job was because it was so close to the gathering. And get this, he just found out that we are going to Maryland till May or so. His last day is Sunday (here)!!! I guess he has integrity not to just quit and come to the gathering!!! I know he really really wants to!!!!

And we (I) really want him to... His being there was one of the things that prompted me to fly across the country to climb. And now you tell me you guys aren't coming home until mid next year!!!
