I'll be there early. Worst case scenario I'll go uo on thursday afternoon and set up some dummy sites. You'd be suprised how much real estate a couple of tarps and a card table can get you. Now all that we need is to know how many are going to show up. What about puttong this on the gatherings list on the front page? Do you guys know who we have to kill to make that happen?

BWAHAHAHAHAHA....A LOT!!!! GOOD LUCK...I WOULD TRY TIM FIRST...HE SEEMS TO STILL BE FAIR...AND POSSIBLY ANDREW... BUT SEE WE DONT HAVE ANYONE "IMPORTANT" JOINING US...SO PROLLY UNLESS YOU CAN SHOW THAT TONS OF PPL ARE COMING YOU WILL NOT GET IT ON THE FRONT PAGE, HOWEVER IF SOMEONE "IMPORTANT" ATTENDS THEN 7 PPL WILL BE CONSIDERED A GATHERING... GRRRR....SORRY ABOUT THE PESSIMISM THIS MORNING!!!!!

I KNOW THAT SHE AIN'T QUITE RIGHT IN THE HEAD, AND SHE IS A YANKEE, BUT SHE'S STILL GOOD PEOPLE I PROMISE. CAN SOMEONE SEE ABOUT GETTING THIS ON THAT LIST. I'M NOT SURE IF I SHOULD BE ASKING ANYBODY IN CHARGE ABOUT THAT SORT OF THING TODAY. BUT WE DO KIND OF NEED IT ON THERE SO THAT EVERYBODY WILL KNOW THAT WE HAVE COME TO A DECISION ON TIME AND PLACE.

November 29-December 1 at Rocktown/LostWall. I too can show up early (i.e. Thursday Night) to claim some camp sites. Tradpuppy and Biggernhell: What say we three meet up Thursday night at "Uncle Jed's" gas station (193 and Chamberlain Road)? We can then go and get the campsites we want. Gear is going to be an issue: Everyone brings own harness, belay device, and shoes, obviously. I'll bring my rope and rack. Will also see if I can get more. If we can get three or four people to bring ropes/racks, that should be enough. FYI: Food and drinks are available in La Fayette. Uncle Jed's (see above) also has snacks, sodas, gas, and stuff. http://www.rockclimbing.com/routes/listArea.php?AreaID=2359 If anyone has concerns or issues with directions, etc., contact me in PM or e-mail, and I'll do what I can to help. Best, JRB

Reno, that sounds good to me, Or maybe we could just meet at the ranger station at the bottom? Either way, let's definitely decide exactly where we are going to camp beforehand. (so that latecomers, etc. can find us) Or maybe a note or cell phone number on the ranger station board? [ This Message was edited by: tradpuppy on 2002-10-31 08:44 ]

I wish I still had a bike! Anyway, I have some extra gear used by the school's outdoor program I could lend to anyone who doesn't have a harness, shoes, etc.

Sorry Mike my bike was stolen while I was living in SLC this summer, and I'm pretty sure that I'm gonna be to busy to ride that weekend anyway. But, every now and then I do this thing called "The Pigeon Mtn Triathlon" I borrow one of my racing buddies Moabs and we ride the trails on Pigeon Mtn in the morning, go climbing in the afternoon and then go as far as we can stand in Petty John's Cave after dark. we usually start at daylight and come out of the cave around 2am. You should come up one weekend and try it with us.

Or maybe a note or cell phone number on the ranger station board? ****************** No problem. I can leave my cell phone number at the ranger station when we get there. Thursday, Nov 28... what time? Best, JRB

Finally Well I will be in South Carolina actually for the holiday so I can come either on Thursday night or Friday morning. I have about 12 quickdraws and a 60m rope. Anyone have crashpads for bouldering? Also I will be bringing the woman although she doesn't climb so she can at least be with me on my bday. We'll be camping out in a tent for the whole weekend. I will also possibly be bringing my Gary Fisher Hardtail for some biking if anyones up for showing me the trails one day. I'm stoked that this is finally gonna happen.

Count me in as a definite maybe. Actually, I'll be there at least 1 day, maybe more; it will depend on whether I sell my UGA vs GT tickets or not. --Yev

Reno, I should be able to get up there in the early evening. Let me work on a time for a few days. I'm also noticing that everybody seems to be hooked on the idea of Rocktown. Surely some people would prefer routes to bouldering? Or a day of each? I suck at bouldering, I mean V3 is my limit. There are topropes and all at Rocktown, but not near as good as the best of Lost Wall.
