I'll probably try to get in a day at each. Or since they are so close, I may start at one in the morning and move on to the other as the day goes on. I'll play it by ear, but rest assured trhat I'll get more than my fair share of routes in that weekend. Maybe even some new stuff at the Netherworld.

The decision has been made. Rocktown/Lostwall on Thanksgiving weekend. What ever happened to this being put on the front page?

Yes, why is it not on the front page? It might help to get more people to come. Has anyone received responses from administrators?

woo-hoo Might be able to make this. To quote someone else "Definitely Maybe" I'm going somewhere with Jiadar the next weekend but far be it from me to NOT climb two weekends in a row my first time out on real rock. I'll be one of the people with harness, chalk, shoes, belay, biners, and well... nothing else really. I'll have a better idea of wether or not I can make it within the next two weeks. Here's hoping Peace

I have that week off. If anyone is going to be around early I can give a belay. I don't mind day trips to Foster Falls, Sunset Park, Sandrock, or Lost Wall.

I'm pretty sure I'll be there at least on Saturday and maybe Friday. I'll bring my crashpad and maybe my brother's if he'll let me or if he comes. Might have some other guests.

Well I just looked at the SE. gathering link on the front page and I'm an organizer I did not know that! Guess I do now! Anyhow, if anyone needs any info on anything regarding directions, beta, etc. just pm or e-mail me.

Aaaarrrggghhh.... Count me out. Turkey day timing combined with the fact that I'm climbing the next weekend has thrown me out of the runnings for this gathering. Thought last week there may have been a chance. I hope everyone has a great time. Climb Hard, Climb Safe, and Climb with Cameras... I want to see pictures. Peace

OK, I've talked with a couple of other people and it seems the bottom of the mountain would be the best place to camp for several reasons: -it will be easier for people who have never been to this area to find the campsites. -there is more than ample parking. -there are 2-3 really spacious campsites. -those who are going a day earlier would have an easier time finding each other by just meeting up at the campsite, rather than Uncle Jed's or the ranger building. I think I'm going to try and secure at least the 2 large campsites on the right, the one just before the dry creekbed/culvert and the other just past there on the right. Both of these are large and can accomodate several tents. These are easy also to locate. Once you have turned right off Chamberlain Rd., you can just drive up the road about 3/4 of a mile and you can't miss the sites. If anyone has any objections, let me know.

Hate to sound simple minded with only one thing on my mind...but I think a few of us need to know, is alcohol allowed in the campsite? If so, you can count on me for a few 12 packs of variety.

Technically, it is forbidden. But we have always had it. A little discretion helps.
