I'm in Acworth, so I'll be driving up in the morn, and home to my bed in the evening. If anyone needs anything, and I have it, can get it, afford it, let me know. If you might need help on the way down, PM me and I'll send you my cell number. I'm on vacation that week, with no kids, so I'll help as I can. Remember though, divorced climber with three kids = poverty!! Almost forgot, I only have the internet/email when at work!!

Hello all, I now have a map of the LW/Rocktown area ready to go and I'll make a bunch of copies as well as e-mail the document to those who request beforehand. Just send an e-mail request to: tradman4@bellsouth.net and I'll get it to you.

I just moved to Atlanta and I'm interested in meeting other climbers. If you all are planning to climb around chattanooga the weekend before thanksgiving I would really like to climb. I lead easy moderates trad or harder if I think I can. Sport leads 10+ and just plain like to climb and have fun in the outdoors with cool people. If you any else is eager meet up and climb please respond. Thanks

I put a smidgen of flour in with the cornmeal, (white cornmeal, not that yellow stuff) and an egg. Plus, you have to use Crisco, not that healthy corn oil.

Well, I use a cast iron skillet, but put it in the oven, sounds like he was making Johnny Cakes or something. I'll see if I can find the bottom of my Dutch Oven though. I know where the lid is.

I know you guys wouldn't want to pack too much into this vacation, but if any of you are staying several days and get tired of Pigeon Mntn, Sunset Park is just 45 miles or so up the road. Amazing routes, with breath-taking views down into the Chattanooga valley and within a couple hundred yards of the car. Just a bit farther down the road is Tenessee Wall. That is the premier crack-climbing destination for the Southeast. It was just featured in Rock and Ice magazine this month. Check it out!!! Seriously, 100 ft long splitters lined up for miles. Well, maybe not miles, but you get the point. I live just 20 min. from Sunset/T-Wall and would be happy to tour a few of you guys up there one day if you want. Just PM me. Anyway, I'll meet up with you guys Thurs. morning and will show anyone around the Rocktown boulders who want a tour. The place is enormous. If you like bouldering, you won't be dissapointed. tim

Tim, I am also hoping to take at least one side trip to T-Wall. Sunset is just too cold for me right now.

Speaking of T-Wall, could this be the w/e to go? Anybody up for it? Also, again speaking of T-Wall, could somebody please bring a copy of the new Rock&Ice to the gathering or whenever? I only subscribe to the other one and I can't get it here. [ This Message was edited by: tradpuppy on 2002-11-19 11:59 ]

trad, you're definantly right about Sunset being cold. Also, I forgot that that weekend might be a scheduled hunt at T-wall. I feel bad now that I talked it up so much. It might be a no-go. At any rate, I'll try to remember to bring the Rock&Ice. Also, if there are any really dedicated boulderers planning to attend, I'd be glad to show you an area called Zahnd, that is about 15 miles down the road from Rocktown. For anyone interested, I'm thinking of coming up Friday instead of Thurs. It looks like most of you will not be ariving until Thurs evening/afternoon, so if I'm there Fri morning, I can take a group out to the boulders. Just let me know. tim
