I checked it out.. it is NOT brand new gear. You can actually sell your own stuff there and it will be listed as one of their 4 minute items. Looks like a cool idea... don't know if it works.

OMG!!! I clicked on Gear Engine. What do I see? USED Sports Briefs. The description: "Product Condition: These Active Sports Briefs are like new. There are no holes or defects. These Active Sports Briefs are in excellent condition." "like new" underwear? gearengine.com? ... or smearengine.com?! I could not resist: I started a new thread.

$13.00 + $6.00 S/H is not a good deal on 50ft of webbing. I can stop by the gym or REI on the way home and pick it up for ~$16.

mountaingear.com has some sizes of Metolius cams (00, 0, 1, and 4) for $25 each when you buy two of the same size. They are like $28 if you buy only one. Look in the sale section, there are some other cam deals as well. Also spadout.com is a good place to check out.

Today is a good deal on Nuts at: http://www.outdoordaily.com/ ABC Huevos (Alpine Set #4-13) for $45 plus $5 shipping I have had the Full Set for awhile now, and got them because they were the exact same dimensions as the Black Diamond Stoppers, but for a lot less price. This set is only sizes #4-13, so it's a good chance to double up on the popular sizes, as I especially don't use #1 and #2 as they are body weight only. You can compare the Huevos vs Stoppers specs here and see they are the same: http://www.mtntools.com/.../nuts/abc_huevos.htm http://www.mtntools.com/.../nuts/bd_stopper.htm

I thought #3 was body weight as well so the 4-13 are all the climbing sizes. Anyways, I agree that they are good nuts, and that is a good deal.

So I bought my first climbing rope today, a 10.5 BlueWater Accelerator from REI Outlet: http://www.rei.com/...utlet/product/751911. The website lists the price at $119.93, but when I went to check out, the price on my receipt was only $95.93. The Dry version of the same rope seems to have a similar bug when I add it to my cart. Anyone looking for a new rope might consider taking advantage of this before REI notices it.

I especially liked the trailhead section, but its great to see the homeboys in Athens still doing it up right. $160 for 4-packs of Powercams???? NICE!! I just wanted to share this with everyone. I ordered two four packs of powercams (ultralight no less) from Wild Merc since the sale price was so great. The *next day* I received this email: Hello XXXX, I just wanted to let you know that your 1-4 cam set will ship today, and the 5-8 set will be about 3 days behind (we had to get it from Metolius). Because of the inconvenience, in the first shipment you will receive a free Black Diamond wire gate carabiner. Sorry for any inconvenience and let us know if there is anything else we can do for you. Happy Trails, Jon Wild Mercantile, Ltd. For the record, I had not had any contact with them except the order. They could've shipped the whole thing out a few days later, and I'd have never known the difference. You know how it is with online orders - you expect to wait a bit. So, shop Wild Mercantile guys. The Customer service is second to none, and the prices are damn good. Give em support.
