Hi, could anyone with experience in resoling shoes tell me if these are worth resoling? Will it work or are they too damaged? Photo attached...

Egads man, what are you climbing, picket fences?
They look like toast to me, I say buy some new shoes. I always hated those gimmicks on Mad Rocks anyway.

+1 what edge said.
It could be done, but is probably not worth it as the shoes will continue to stretch and tear the new resole due to the wear that goes through the rand and on through the leather (?) inner sole.

I've never seen climbing shoes damaged in such a weird spot. Interestingly enough, the rand and toes look barely worn... How did such damage occur?
I would say, send these photos to the resole company you are planning to use, and ask them how much it would cost to repair such damage.
But while I am not a resoler, I would not say that it is not repairable. I think you could resole them.

I've gotten a lot of shoes worked on over the years. I'll disagree with everyone else upthread and say that to me, those absolutely look resoleable. Take them in and have them look at it and let them decide. I have @ 6 pairs or shoes in my rotation, one of which is on its 6th resole. I hate just tossing anything, but anything as expensive as shoes in particular. Especially if you finally have them fitting well.

I've always wondered what would happen to a pair of shoes if someone fell just feet from the anchor on an unprotected 200 ft. slab route. Now I know.
