I need to buy some shoes for climbing at the gym, which ones would you recommend intermediate to advanced level

Don't blow your money on expensive shoes. Start with something basic and cheap. Make sure they are comfortable. You should be able to tippy toe in them without pain. You don't need a $120 pair of shoes. Remember, you can resole them. Shoes don't make the climber, technique and foot work make the climber. Good luck.
