How do all you forum "experts" even have time to climb with your 5k + forum posts? You get wireless at your local crag?

You get wireless at your local crag? with an air card I get wireless pretty much everywhere. except certain moments in the mountainous parts of nevada, idaho, utah, wyoming... yes, i'm nearly a qualified expert on the art of drive-by-posting. Don't try this at home, kiddies.

it's always been my assumption most of the folks on here are cubicle jockeys and occasional weekend warriors with a sprinkling of seasoned cliff rats. look at this site as 90% entertainment and a cure for boredom at work and 10% for educational purposes since if you misinterpret most of the info you can kill yourself.

It might be worth noting that not all, but a large portion of the users with a strong posting count are fairly experienced climbers. I would guess more than most of the users here. Why do people try to make some statement about posting count to climbing when those with high post records have a respectable amount of time climbing outside? LOLZ YOu'RE sO siLLY STFU NOOB

Well, while I'm nowhere near the 5k mark, I do spend a minimum of three hours and upwards of twenty-two hours delicately crafting each post to ensure not only that I am properly full of shit (both in an informal and technical sense), but also that I don't use the letter 'q' an excessive number of times per post. One time it took me three days to type a post because I couldn't decide if, in context, 'stfu' should be in all caps or not. I was also having issues choosing which variation of 'n00b' to use for maximum impact. Any typos and grammatical errors are there only to belie that actual amount of time spent on a given post.

Why do people try to make some statement about posting count to climbing when those with high post records have a respectable amount of time climbing outside? LOLZ YOu'RE sO siLLY STFU NOOB We all have different lives, different schedules, and different agendas. I can't think of a single time, ever, not once, that I sat around posting when I should have gone climbing. I can think of times I've stayed up way too late (drinking and posting are sweet!!!), been late to work/dates/dinners, skipped a good workout, or put off doing laundry or cleaning to post. Never has it interfered with my climbing. What's more, lets look at some of the noisiest posters with a big count. Me, Camhead, Caughtinside, Curt, jt512, Dingus, etc. I think the OP would be hard pressed to even warm up with a lot of us. It's absurd to think that any of us talk shit online to the exclusion of climbing. We just post here when not climbing. I work nights on the weekend and pretty much climb the rest of the week. I post when I'm resting.
