Recently I won a ebay auction from this dude (or whoever this climber is) for a set of 10 nut so I emailed this guy so i could come and pick the items since he is only 10 miles away from me and paying $15.95 for shipping plus additional $5.95 sounded really stupid right ? but no, this dude with 5 feedback wants to pull fast one on a guy like me who is ebay seller with 107 items on his ebay auction plus 1200+ feedback. go sell a baseball cards but once you decided to sell climbing gear on ebay , remember, do not do climbers

You should not bid on items if you do not agree to the terms of the sale. If there was no "pick it up" option mentioned then it's your faulty for thinking there was. I think that shipping costs are not included when eBay takes commission so many people increase the shipping costs and have low selling costs to try to cheat a little. It's bad to ever assume you can alter the deal after you won the bidding. I would take a loss and let you pick up the stuff but that's just me. It's too bad you expect more from climbers just because they are climbers. Good luck getting your stuff. Dave

Dave I understand ebay and i rather pay the guy in cash than pay via paypal which will cost him more and there was no mention about local pickup so i assumed it was ok to pick it up locally but then he said i still need to pay $5.95 which was not mentioned anywhere.

Actually, Ebay has rules against shipping price gouging. You can file a complaint, and they'll look into it. However, since you already bought it, you agreed to the terms on paper. You're screwed.

Well, why are you buying used sh*t off ebay in the first place? Don't you get pro deals? Also, if you climb enough you can find that much booty once the weekend is over and the n00bs go home.

I get pro deal on most new gear from MFGs for my own use but these are used for training purposes where I pass a set of nuts and cams to students so they could build anchors. having 12-20 students in class with three in each group requires a lot of gear and with of price one pro deal item, I could get two used gear which sounds more economical .
