I just came back from the gym, and cant wait for my next visit, indoors or outdoor. This got me thinking, obviously i'm not the only one obsessed with climbing, otherwise we wont have a forum like this  :D  what do you do in your downtime (climbing related i mean). Do you work out at the gym? run? etc? I'm also looking to restructure my gym routine to improve myself as a better climber, so looknig to improve on specific areas. Cardio is still a big part of it though. any thoughts? I'm just thinking out loud here. humor me :)

When i'm not climbing, i'm in the forums. When i'm not doing either, i'm thinking about one or the other. IF for some reason i am doing none of the above, it means school has gotten the better of me and i remembered why i'm at college. If i get super bored i find stuff in teh building to climb, and do pullups on my door ledge.

doing good outside of climbing makes me climb better, a vicious cycle of goodness that feeds on itself. so, i do what i can to be a productive member of society, to improve the quality of life for myself and others, just like those before me who have made life better for all others after them. then i look around and try not to look down upon those who haven't done so and try not to see them as the parasites that they are, even though that's exactly what they are. in fact, i even encourage them to be more like me. if they falter even after that, well then, the urge to not stomp down upon them like squishing so many a bug underfoot becomes increasingly difficult to resist

Probably at school wishing I were climbing. Or blowing off class to go climbing. Gritstone had it good- I do love to go biking (both road and mountain) and finish off a hard day with Mexican food and a few Coronas- Ahh the good life! Oh, yeah, I almost forgot about my track scholarship. Never mind. In the spring I am training for track, but still wishing I were climbing. And on off days I am in the climbing gym. Or bugging friends to go climbing. And when it's too dark to climb, I am on here. I would sign up for a 12 step program, but I am happily addicted, and it's not bad for you right (tendinitis ignored)?? I'm not the only one here like this right?? please?
