Hi, Nora goes West;) i' m from Germany and will spend my sabbatical in the Us and Ca, going climbing... But wehre should i Start, and what is not allowed to be unclimed. If anyone can help me with short Details... I would be more than thankfull... If you know someone, selling a car, let me pleeaaase know. I need one from the beginning if august, starting in San fran... Thanks a lot..
It is possible to get to Yosemite National Park from San Francisco with a long day of travel on Amtrak (train / bus) and YARTS (bus). Once in Yosemite you will likely be able to meet people to climb with at Camp 4, which is the cheapest and popular with climbers. It fills up though so try to arrive mid-week - Tuesday or Wednesday is probably best.
