Keith passed away on June 5, 2011 after a motorcycle accident on May 21, 2011. Keith's most memorable climb was El Cap.

How sad. I wish his friends and family peace in what must be a very sad time indeed.

Aw, crap. I recall kagunkie from my earliest days poking around the site. He seemed like a really good guy. Rest in piece, Keith.

Rest In Peace. I first met him one evening while he was cleaning new routes at the Water Gap, and he gave up several hours in order to show this noob around. He showed me the best and worst of what was there, leading to many fun and exciting days. TE

That sux! I remember camping and climbing with him at one of the first ever RC.com gatherings at the Gunks back in '01 or '02, before there were really RC.com gatherings... Lower left, w/ the rifle. RIP, my friend.

Hello everyone, My name is Jon and I am Keith's younger son. I was doing a google search to see if I could find more information on his El Capitan climb and came across this forum. I just wanted to thank everyone for their kind words and ask that if you have any pictures or stories of my father I would appreciate it greatly if you could share. I remember going climbing with him a few times. It was always great fun.
