I assume you are thinking about bouldering comps? If you have been climbing for a year only, more volume of movement will help you the most. I would stay on the bouldering wall and train 2 days on one day off. Completion of problems, 25-35 per night, below your max limit for the most part will give you the biggest benefit. I would spend only a day or two a week on trying harder problems at or above your limit.
