:-) i have two coming. a cool two sided expanding nut thingy. and a three lober cam thingy with a cable stem. I had bought some sweet 7mm carbon fiber for an all carbon and Kevlar Friend but after trying to machine carbon fiber and getting all itchy, i decided it was not worth it, to finish. PM your address to me so i can ship them out.

Sent me entry on Monday. Was hard to give it up at first, but with big-bros at stake.... meh. Wondering how many of us are really into this? What say you? How many of you really want to have their pride and joy(s) pulled apart by adatesman??????? Think about it before you box up yer little science projects and walk into the post-office knowing once you pay for shipping this could be the last time you see yer creation (whole). ahhahaha...... Taunting other contestants was never mentioned in the rules now was it?

Just letting you know that I'm planning on getting at least one cam to you, possibly a big bro type device as well, well just see how much time I end up having.

Wow, I for one can't wait to see the pictures and entries. This was a Very good idea and I'm extremely happy that it has materialized. Good luck to all that enter. I'll be ready for the next one, next year.

adatesman wrote: Well, it seems the competition is officially on now.... the first two entries arrived this afternoon (grover and Erick Davidson). No details or pics until after the entry deadline, but let me just say WOW! Both are amazing in completely different ways. Erick's could easily be mistaken for a medical instrument of some kind and is a work of art. Grover's is quite possibly a weapon and probably sticks to the rock by sheer hatred and malice rather than camming action. I can't wait to break them. -a. WOW...thanks for the rave review! I think

I would love to see a video of it in action if possible.

If only I had the time, and money... Got a couple design ideas that would just blow your minds. Are you going to pull my forged friend at the same time?

Ah oh, yeah! (eyes lighting up) A drop test rig?! Sounds awesome, I bet failure moves more to the axle, pulling tensile faster results in stronger... Sounds exciting! Can't wait to see the results.

adatesman wrote: Ok, we're in the home stretch.... Just 2 weeks until the entry deadline, so if you're planning on entering you better get to it. As it stands right now there's only been 2 entries submitted, so your chances couldn't be better! I have Prototype Version 1.2 done and am working on Version 2.1 to send in for the contest!

Well I ran into a problem with the second one but the first one I started is still on track. I was planning on sending it Friday but I might just have to go place it this weekend before I send it off to its death.
