Ohio isn't exactly know for it's stellar climbing, but today I visited the neighboring state for a little climbing. I met Climbhigh23,Spiderwoman, and friend John at logtown quarry. I led classic crack a short but sweet 5.4 trad line. Nothing like a bit of trad leading to get the blood flowing, even at 38 degrees, the sweat flowing too. Then I did my first ever ground up, clip the shuts, untie, thread the rope, retie, and be lowered sport route. Nice climb, nice lead 5.6/5.8 before me/ party barge. Two names and two ratings but I'd say before me was a nice 5.6 sport lead and I felt good doing it. Got spanked toproping a 5.9, but I only climb a rare 5.8. All in all a great day specially for this time of the year. Every day climbing is special now. It might snow any day now. Thanks for a great day, Ohio. :!:
