Instead of the typical happy post of where did you climb this weekend I was wondering how many of us got hurt this weekend? Personally I was climbing at HCR on the Far East Side and when my climbing buddy got to the top a rock the size of a softball broke off and fell 60 or so feet and hit me in the Right shoulder blade, I still didn’t let go of the break line. It didn’t break anything but bruised up a bunch of muscle and other important stuff.

I walked around in my ice climbing boots for a while and got the starts of a blister. I can't wait for more ice.

the skin under my thumb split again. takes a while to repair and it hurts when I grab stuff. nothing like an open wound.

I have forearms covered in scratches from some nice bouldering top outs and a lower back muscle strain, I think it was from taking some 10-15 footers repeatedly, don't you love trying to figure out sequences with your feet above bolts?

Was walking around barefoot at the crag knocking my little toe nail off when I kicked a rock. I think the rock got mad because the next route I did I fell while half over a roof with a lip and hit my upper jaw on it. So, really I just got into a fight with a mountain and the mountain won. :roll:

I fell off an ice toprope and somehow thumped myself behind the ear with my hammer. More damaging to my ego than my head.

ripped off all the skin on my middle finger below the first knuckle on a sharp hold....wraped some tape around it and kept climbing

I got a scratch-wound on my chin from the imprint of the stitching in my airbag as it exploded while playing chicken against a larger truck on I-70 in the snow. :shock:
The worse pain is due to arrive once my insurance company realizes that BOTH vehicles are totaled.
