Hi, Anybody interested in having a Colorado get together? We could have a get together at Lumpy Ridge, somewhere around Boulder, or maybe the Garden of the Gods. I'm thinking a day for mostly locals and anybody else passing through. Any takers?

I'd be up for it. I'd vote for an overnighter somewhere we could have a bonfire and booze it up till dawn.

if we want to camp/booze it up, i vote for vedauwoo. we can camp at reynolds hill, and there is a ton of great easy to hard crack and friction climbing. i can provide several full vedauwoo racks and a couple of webers for steaks that night. andrew

Vedauwoo sounds good to me. Bring a few extra rolls of tape. Lets do this. What is everybody schedule like? Next weekend (May 18-19) is the only free weekend I have until mid June.

My wife's brother is in town so that weekend is a no-go for me. June and July look better, and Vedawoo would be cool.

I'm up for it.... although, I've got to get parental consent before making any big plans. Vedeawoo sounds good to me... how far is it from the bouldering at Laramie Peak? I've heard there's some sick stuff just waiting to be done up there.

Its a few hours from Laramie Peak. There is plenty of hard bouldering at Vedauwoo too, and a lot more remains to be done. There are even some easy to very hard sport routes there as well.

That sounds good. Should we just pin the date at June 22-23 so I can put it on my calendar?

D@mn, sorry I missed this thread the first time fellas... You KNOW I'm in!! Unfortunately, I'll be in Ohio for some dumb wedding or something (not mine - at least I don't think it is ) at the end of June. Other than that, I'm wide open for it. Just let me know where and when and I'm there!! My vote is for Boulder! You've got the Flatirons AND Eldorado Canyon there - those should satisfy Trad Daddy's, Sport Nuts, and Boulder Freaks all at the same time! Just my thoughts, let me know what's decided when you all hammer it down. Mick

Just thought I would bump this up to the top to see if anybody was still interested in having a event in the Denver/Boulder area. I am jealous of all the good times that everybody had in SLC.

I think I'll be around the weekend of July 27-28. Again, I would vote for Vedauwoo because of the great camping situation there. We shouldn't have a campfire, but I'll bring a couple of Webers so we can gather around the grills.

This never went yet - I haven't been in town at all this summer. November is usually pretty damn cold in Vedauwoo. October would be much more pleasant for anyone who is camping, and the climbing will be more reliable.

My September is a disaster. The only weekend that works for me is September 7-8. My October looks grim as well. Boy I love my job. At least I'm getting lots of comp time for next spring.
