Best places I have found are Fern and Mt. Magzine.

Sam's Throne is supposed to be pretty good. There's quite a lot of information in the Routes section on this site, under North America -- Arkansas.

rrradam and I were in Arkansas on a job for 4 months and there is a lot of good climbing. Mt. Magazine was great. We have some photos from there and lots of info.

There's lots of great climbing here in Arkansas. Check out the Arkansas section to see everything that's up. I'm pretty sure all most all of the areas are on there, but I don't think all the routes are up for each section. IF/when you get around, let somebody know, we'll take ya out climbing.

I've been to Sam's Throne and it's a sweet place to climb. It has top rope routes and bolted routes for lead climbing. It has climbs that range from 30 ft to over 100 ft. It also has great climbs for beginners and experienced climbers. Check it out.

Rock 'n Road shows 20 areas in Arkansas. The closest to Fayetteville would be Wedington, Lake Lincoln, Goshen, West Fork, Hwy 74 Rest Area, Compton, Steele Creek, Busby Hollow, and White Rock. Hope this helps.

This was my favorite climb in Arkansas...

It's in Mt Magazine State Park. There are links provided with the pic to take you to the Area in the Routes DBase.

The only problem with Sam's throne is all the poison ivy!!! There is even a wall named after it!! Also take a stick for the trail because of all the spider webbs. It is a good place to climb if your not allergic to poison ivy!!!
