1. Vice grip protection -- You'd crank it down to the right size and then clamp it tight on a flake (sort of like the opposite of a big bro). A fall should increase the holding power by pulling the grip tighter.

2. A covering for the buckle on adjustable leg loops -- My leg loop webbing gets burred up from scumming and wide cracks.

3. Helmet brim visor -- This would attach around a helmet and make it look more like a sombrero, very stylish.

i'm guessing with a handle like "forkliftdaddy", you've seen these...

i'm quite surprised there aren't a ton of other options, once these came out.
not to mention more options in the climbing helmet selection.

One item that, while years off, is within the realm of possibility given recent advances in materials sciences is "hammerless heads". Basically, you would "inject" a material into a pocket while it is somewhat liquid, and the apply a charge to it to freeze it into whatever form it had taken. The placement would be bomber. Then, after you're done with it, remove the charge and pull the soft material out.

The worry would be that the battery, and therefore the electrochemistry, could fail. I would not want to be the first person to step onto one of these.

helmet brim visor

i know one of the old HB helmets had a bisor attachment, but for sure Kavu i think makes two different kinds of visors. not sombrero like, but still. not sure if it would fit a climbing helmet. chek it out on libertymountain.com

Here's my big idea: climbing shoes with light grey sticky rubber so my feet don't heat up and burn in the sun out in cali as easily by absorbing the heat. that way i can actually climb until i'm tired, instead of climb until i'm sick of my toes melting under that hot, black rubber.

I wish there was a sub-4lb, freestanding, 4-season, comfortable 2-person tent, that didnt cost a trillion dollars and isn't single walled.

A pair of small mirrors or prisms that clip onto my sunglasses at 45 degrees, so that I can belay a leader without having to tip my head back.
