Sometimes bad weather can work in your favor. This weekend wasn't the best time for climbing, so that gave us new river locals a chance to get out and replace the old bad bolts found in all our climbing areas. So we have begun the season on a strong note by getting some fresh belay and lead bolts replaced @ summersville. Orange Oswald and Long Wall have been mostly replaced and in the next few months look for lots more new shiny stainless bolts and anchors on your favorite New River Routes!!!! We have been given some gear from Climbing Magazine Anchor Replacement Program as well as from NRAC. All our bolts and trail projects are funded by NRAC so please join our non profit and keep the New a happy place! Come to the New River Rendevouz May 20-22 and join the party!

How old were they? Oswald's bolts looked pretty darn good to me, not that I mind their replacement at all. Hippie Dreams did have some spinners last time I was on it though.
