My roommate and I are getting a new puppy. The bad thing is she wants something small like a rat or something and I want a great dane. The dogs that she was looking at cost just as much as mine and I said, "why don't we just get more for our money?" :lol: She got pissed. I dont' know why either, I thought it was funny.

hehe... it's community you gotta have all those freaky inuendos. anyway... for real... if someone is exuberantly happy to see you when you walk in the door, it really culls the edge on that pining singledom tip.

We just got a golden retriever pup (well, about a month ago). He's 5 months and his new "trick" is to grab ahold of our 7 yr old chocolate lab's tail and make her bark. (He'll do this at 6:30am while the wife is sleeping. haha)

Mine is bigger... 119 lb at last weigh-in. But a big softy. The white one at 65 lb is who you need to watch out for. Thinks he weighs 150, and acts like it. http://www.rockclimbing.com/...n=Show&PhotoID=38895 For some reason the photo wouldn't show... So here's the link.

this is my dog, Nike. she has a larger life. she and i were involved in frisbee contests in georgia and we retired that in 1998 after my daughter was born. she knows alot of signs that i sign to her. she is going to be 10 this sept and still has nearly full energy. she weighs 48 lbs mostly. i love her to death. she was taken of pix at starr mountain in wintertime. she loved being fried under sun. http://razeberry.com/.../images/DSCN0157.jpg [edit: forget to add her weight}

awww, the pups! Here's mine doing what she does best, sneaking onto the couch and acting so cute you can't tell her to get down! She's not bigger than anyones - all fur weighing in at a slim and fit 48 lbs. She loves to go for hikes and of course, loves her dogsled!!! http://www.rockclimbing.com/...p.cgi?Detailed=38912

Mine are both smaller, 45 and 80 pounds. The 45 pounder is the boss of the two (AUstralian Heeler, Spaniel and lab) and the big guy is the boss of everyone else (except me and "mommy") he's chow and shepard. The other day we played with an English Mastiff (otherwise known as the Orgiginal English or Old English Mastiff), which is the Bull Mastiff's bigger brother. He weighed in at 211, and was a little small considering his genes. he was the sweetest boy, and now I think I might want a giant breed next. There is a mastiff rescue grou that I would want to go through, though. I can't see getting a new purebred when there are so many dogs out there that need good homes.

We have two... -Lucky: golden terrier mixed with a nosey neighbor's dog. Weighing in at <30 lbs...10 years old...picked her up from the pound the day she was supposed to be put to sleep (she was only a couple of weeks old), which is why I named her Lucky -Dijit: Golden Retriever. He weighs in at right around 90 lbs...he just hit his 1 year mark...we named him Dijit because he's missing a toe on his front right paw (his mom tried to pull him out when he was being born and torn it off)...Dijit is a play on words in that it is a combination of "digit" and "Ijit" or "Idiot"...cuz he's big and goofy Lucky rules the roost...because she used to stand over Dijit when he was just a few weeks old...but, damn her grew fast. He still doesn't quite get just how big he is as noted when he jumps up on my lap. *CRUNCH!* Love them both...
