I'm looking to take a weekend trip from Denver to eastern/central Utah. I looked up info on climbing in Utah but was pretty overwhelmed with info. If any one knows of a great area for a 2 day sport/TR climbing trip in Utah I'd really appreciate it.

American Fork canyon may be what you're looking for. About 30 minutes south of SLC. Good sport, fun steep pumpy routes.

Depends on what you're climbing. American Fork is sweet but doesn't have a whole lot of easy stuff (ie: 5.9 and less. The climbs are there, but there just arent a ton of them). Big Cottonwood Canyon is great too and is closer to Salt Lake (10 minutes). I don't know if it matters to you or anything, but AF is limestone and BCC is quartzite. Also, crags in BCC are generally easier to get on top of and toprope. Have fun!
