just moved to the area and am interested in hoppin' around to some bouldering spots in the DC metro, VA,MD area. It would be great if anyone could give me heads up of what's out there.
Cheers

Make a weekend trip to Coopers, and hit up some routes at Blackrock. Near Frederick/Hagerstown Area. I also discovered a bouldering field in the Hagerstown Area to which I posted here on RC.com as Raven Rock Hollow/SARocks. You can look it up in the Routes Database and take a weekend trip out there if you want. Good lines there. Send and post what you want. Laters.

coopers rock is awesome and worth the drive. Blacksburg has good bouldering but i have not been yet. And then the New River Gorge has a ton of bouldering and there is a guidebook available at Water Stone Outdoors. Really nice in the winter and year round. Right now summersville lake is drained and there are about 20 miles of boulder to discover..
