Camping was great for my chick and I about 3 months ago. 'Climbing Colorado' describes some USFS land I think centered in the area you want to climb. FREE, you just drive into the forest and pick a spot. No toilets, and you got to make your own fire ring. It was off RT-72 North of Ward. Just check the dirt roads, if going North it was right hand side. We actually passed all cinds of spots, but drove 2 mile into the forest for seclusion. Stayed there for 4 days and loved it. NEVER heard another car while we camped. 25 minutes from Castlerock in Boulder Canyon, and about an hour from Eldorado Canyon. rrrADAM p.s. Be sure to take a bathing suit for the pay pool just outside Eldorado, it was great after a day of climbing.

Wouldn't pull that bathing suit out of the drawer just yet, it's pretty chilly here now, especially in the higher country. Mick
