Michael "Bear" Fuston died of cancer at the age of 58 on June 21, 2007. A native of Colorado Springs, Michael was one of the early climbers in Garden of the Gods. He also climbed K2, Fitz Roy, Denali, and the north face of Longs Peak. A memorial service will be held July 13 at 4pm at Bear Creek Regional Park pavillion # 3 in Colorado Springs. I'd love to hear any stories about Michael that I can share with his 14-year-old daughter, Megan.
