Wante to take my girlfriend on an easy climb, a 5.3 is listed, solar slab gully, the approach to solar slab but a friend said he heard it was a lousy route, much harder than rated and runout.
Anyone familiar with it? How about Cat In The Hat?
any suggestions? Also is mid May getting too late
tempeature wise?

If she\'s never climbed before, Cat in The Hat might be a bit much. It\'s a great climb, and very popular so get there REALLY early. Hopefully someone else can tell you about Solar Slab...

May for temperature is probably still OK; watch the weather reports. It will get toasty though, so be prepared.
