Well, do we have green eggs, green ham, and green coffee or just guiness for breakfast this morning. Guiness sounds good to me. Happy Saint Patty's day to ya. Have a good one.

Green eggs and green ham......yummy.

For some reason I feel like I'm hungover today but the strongest I drank last night was ginger ale with ice. Skipping off work at noon to go and start cutting firewood for next year.

XXL please.

Faith 'n Begorrah RC.commers, Happy St. Pats and all that!

Coffee first, then perhaps on to the Green Eggs and Ham (didn't realize Suess was an Irish name) then we'll see what the rest of day holds.

Some local bars have green beer today. There are lots of green cakes and cookies today. Why not green eggs? I bet we could even make green coffee.
I am sore all over. I need a rest from climbing and hiking, as well as weight lifting. I have to figure how to work the climbing back in. Those few nice days were too much for me as I tried to be out doing something every minute I could.

May your blessings outnumber the shamrocks that grow,
and may trouble avoid you wherever you go.

Happy St. Patrick's Day. I've a bottle of Midleton at home, and plan to stay there. Too many amateurs on the roads tonight.

Second pot of coffee is early today... of course, I'm at work early, so that matches up.

I used to be all excited about St. Patty's day, but as I get older I care less and less. It was never really a big holiday in the first place though, ya know.

So I'm trying to figure out what to do on Saturday for my wedding anniversery. I'm thinking about getting Nathan to go out for breakfast, then maybe we'll buy a couple of steaks and cook a nice dinner together. It's the time in between that I'm not sure what to do with. We've done a lot of things that we can do this time of year in Niagara Falls, and I don't really want to make the drive to Toronto.

Oh well, I'm sure we'll figure something out. I know I'm overthinking things....I'm sure we could just spend the day in bed and be happy if we wanted. Wink

Sláinte! Happy St Patty's Day RC.commers! It's St. Patty's Day in Boston! WOOT! Recent family update has traced my ancestors to Ireland in the 1700's. Can't wait to learn the details.

I, for one, will be adding some Irish to my coffee all day today. Any fine irish lasses available to come stir the cream into my cup? Wink

I'll settle for any lass wearing green!

My family namesake came out of Enniskillen in the early 1800's. I'm pretty excited to go back and check it out some time.

Happy Saint Pat's to all.

It's my dad's birthday today and I will be meeting him tonight for a few beers and some analysis of my little psycho-incident last weekend. I want to hear a third party opinion from someone who has similar (although more extensive) training.

Lunch date with the Honduran girl today. For some reason it got in my head that she might not realize I am hitting on her. Most of the time I'm about as blunt as a spoon about these things, but who knows...

I'll take my coffee to go, late for a meeting already.

Hey, this is cool. Looks like Claire MacLeod just won a Scottish BAFTA award for best director for her work on "Echo Wall" filming her husband, Dave MacLeod climbing the route Echo Wall.
From Dave's blog:
"
The impact of it in the ‘outside world’ of film was summed up by one of the other nominees. He asked Claire about the clip that played from Echo Wall of me saying:

“If I make a mistake on the climb, the consequences could not be higher for me, or for Claire.”

He asked if I was meaning we’d have to re-shoot the whole climb if I failed.

Claire explained, “No, he was meaning he would hit the ground and die with his wife filming if he made a mistake.” "
LaughLaughLaughLaughLaugh
The response was apparently "oh..."

With my current record, probably not.

Guinness hats are great. The giant one, right?
We used to have one of those in high school. At parties we had at a rented nightclub (remember we were old enough to buy booze in high school) the rule was that someone always had to have it on, it could never be laying around, and whoever had it on had to dance with 110% effort. Often when people were chilling out or a shitty song or whatever was on and no one was dancing there would be a lone soul up there on the dance floor working his stuff with that ridiculous hat on. It was great.
