11mile-to-Eldo = 2:15 at 5 over, longer during traffic times or TREX closures. 11mile-to-Garden=45 minutes. I'm hoping (still) that some AI will form up for Darkstar and Dreamweaver in another week or so. I hear, tho, that there's been lots of melting up that way, and it just might not happen this year. Anyone heard? I may show as a non-commit depending on plans and partner situs. kelly

Elevenmile sounds good to me. I might be able to make it on Friday (the 13th (eek!)). Anyone gonna be down there Thursday or Friday nights? Also, anyone wanna help me move on the 15th? :P

If we climb at Lumpy, I'd just camp at the Aspenglen or Moraine Park campground in RMNP. I have no clue what the camping situation is like around Eleven Mile or Eldo.

free camping sounds good but, DOOD, the front range is probably starting to look like a science fiction movie gone horribly wrong, what with all those corpulent city-people feeling the urge to finally crowbar their asses off the couch. i say eleven-mile, where the majority of the folks we stand to encounter are going to be fly-fishermen rather than "climbing" poseurs.

Here, here, mtngeo. Some of us flatlanders are quite proud of our bulbous behinds, rippling 12-pack (or was it a case?) abs, and Hulk-like thumb muscles from working the TV remote. And no, it's not the couch. I prefer the turbo-hydraulic Barcolounger that automatically ejects me towards the refrigerator when the snack trough gets low. And I grow weary of displaying my color-coordinated tights, harness, chalkbag, and slippers (sans shirt, of course!) to the belay Betties, while spraying about the heinous 5.4 sport route I on-sighted for the fifth time ("Dude, that slab was pumpy!"). So, I'm still up for Elevenmile, assuming I can ever find that crowbar. Geo -- did you know many fisherman keep their flies on sheepskin. Just think of the possibilities.

In reply to: Do we have a consensus on 11-mile? Yayers and nay-sayers, we'll give it till today at 5 PM MST then make a decision based on that. Cool? 11-mile mtngeo shorty skibabeage Eldo/Flat-irons flamer Don't make no nevah mind jhattan I have no opinion either way... Eldo or 11-Mile. Just tell me where, and what date? I am out for the 14th (have to work... :( ) Can accomodate one, perhaps two, in my Jeep for the drive from Downtown Denver. -- Jeff B.

Somehow, I'm having trouble reconciling a "vente triple caramel macchiato with soy" and "a pair of hairy ones." Methinks the two are mutually exclusive. Now if you're talking about 8 hour old truck-stop coffee so thick you need a chisel to get a cupfull, then I think you can talk about a pair of hairy ones. Otherwise.... ;) -- Jeff

When is everyone planning to show up? My fiance and I will be leaving at 3 pm tomorrow from Lincoln, NE. I think the plan is to climb at Garden of the Gods on Thursday and head to the Eleven Mile campground Thursday evening.

All along, I was under the impression we were doing this on Friday, 13 June. If it's Saturday, I'll have to bail, since I work on Saturday at 8pm.
