Perhaps put some info on your profile and people will be more likely to contact you if they know something about you.
What part of NZ will you be in?
i live in Queenstown and climb on The weekends only, so you can message me if you are coming this way

I'm in the North Island, an hour from Wharapapa, which has a few clasics but more of a pleasant out-door gym to be honest but worth a look if in the area.

If you go to Castle hill, get permission and go to the flock hill area. There is a large amount of easier stuff there. Access info can be found at Mojozone.co.nz.

Wanaka is good but 5 hrs drive from castle hill so you would spend a couple of your days travelling .Sport
Paynes ford is good too 4 or 5 hrs. Sport

Great climbing closer to Christchurch at Mt Somers if you like Trad.
Various crags in Chch itself at Port hills.

Ya I will be around for sometime.

Hahaha ... castle 'hill' is quite the playground. Only been there once myself. I would like to get some climbing in around Milford.

I was living in Nelson which is close to payne's ford, which is basically an outdoor gym. There is plenty of climbing to be had. Just give me a bell when your in NZ.

I suggest checking out Paynes Ford, or Wanaka. Both places have some great climbing.

Paynes Ford would be the best place as you can camp and meet other people to climb with.

hi Malcolm,

You can no longer Camp at Wye creek as it says in Rock Delux (you never actually could).
There is a camp ground out at 12 mile (towards glenorchy). Sometimes people camp where Wye creek meets the lake but you will need to bring Toilet/ or cornstarch bags to remove your waste as there is no Facilities there.
There is a campground right in town below the gondola but I imagine it's not super cheap and with a few of you it could be best to get a rental home.

There is no real Climbers hang out..Although the local club has meetings at Revolver Bar. Jardines boulders on week nights, The climbing wall at the event Centre.
Town is so Small we all know each other and just text around to hang out. Sunday the 17th will be nice and quiet at the crags as there is a party on Sat night for a climber 40th birthday!

i Have climbers visiting so may see you out and about over the long weekend. Have fun!

If you want to rent a section/ small cottage at kingston, I have a contact.

Hey

Their is a hostel in town that offers camping as well as hostel facilities. I think it was pretty decent price and you get access to the hostel kitchen, shower, toliet, longue.

It was just above town on the hill.

Hey,
Ok cheers for the info! And yeah I'll keep checking the internet and that so if your looking for a climber with a rope and quick-draws just let me know. Seems like no one in this 'club' is interested enough in outdoor to come, so it may just be me!
cheers
