Looking for climbing partner(s). I am male, 47, active duty military. Climbing experience in CO, UT, VT, PA (Kinzua & McConnels Mills) & France but not a lot, thru 5.10 mostly lower. Some ice in VT & PA. Military mountaineer school trained: second climbing, belays, anchors, ice/snow incl. protection, rappel, aid. Zero lead & trad experience. I can provide a lot of solid gear (ropes, slings, cords, harnesses, biners) but own no trad pro, yet. Willing to belay all day just to get out of the house! Willing to travel. Flexible schedule. Only thing NOT flexible besides my back is my attitude about safe rigging...Age/gender matters not, just so you can catch 240lbs on belay...

Yikes...is it the old fat guy, or the military part, scaring everyone off? Would it help if you knew I used to be a dirtbag ski bum living in a car in Crested Butte?

Sent you a PM, I too am looking for a climbing partner in the western Pa area. I climb roughly once week a the mills. usually take my nephew along its nice watching him climb but hard for him to catch the 200 lbs I drop on a rope from time to time.

Anyone who wants to climb in fayette county this weekend email me or PM me. I would like to go Sunday all day or after noon on Saturday. I was thinking of TR at breakneck, ohio pyle or bouldering a caspris.

I am also Big Boned, so 240 or under in weight I will have no problem belaying or spotting .

I definatly too far out of shape to do any king of leading but I willing to TR on almost anything.

I think we should all try to get together some day at the mill or breakneck. I know breakneck is quite a drive from Erie though. Maybe Logtown/Lisbon. I will not e back to 7/18
