hey bitches
One thing I have been noticing lately is how bad people are at coiling ropes. Even when they can coil the rope they still can't tie it off. So for those who own a rope bag here it is. How to tie off coils.
PS- if somebody with 2000 or more posts comments on this ignore them. They are jerking off in their cubicle at your expense.

I once went climbing at a single-pitch crag with a sport-climbing buddy. After a short walk to the base of the climb, we opened up my rope bag.

Lo-and-behold, there was my rope in there tied in a butterfly coil with tails long enough for back-pack-style carry! My bud knows a little about these things and so he hollers:

"Now that's just not right!"

Not like the above day, when you'll be carrying a rope and other necessary equipment a good deal, leaving the rope bag at home and being able to efficiently coil the rope is king.

Nice vid.

I'm offended. What about us under 2k lurkers who are also jerking off in our cubicles? Don't we deserve to be ignored as well?

Always meant to figure out how to do a mountaineers coil but never got around to it. Thanks for posting Mike.
