I started climbing in the Cascades and at Squamish in the early '80s, but I've been mostly in California since then. My home range is the Sierras, but I've climbed a bit in the French Alps and the Dolomites. I used to be a fairly consistent 5.12 trad and sport climber at the crags, but always preferred bouldering and long alpine rock routes. These days I seem to climb 5.10 trad off the couch, if the rock and pro are good, and harder on the short sport stuff. I like more challenging things in the summer, when I have more free time.
