My friend and I are heading to the East Creek Basin to climb in the Howsers and wanna get dropped off. If anyone wants to chip in on a helicopter from Golden or Invermere on Tuesday night or Wednesday morning we would love to share the fee with ya. If interested call me.

The common alternate for getting to east creek basin is to hike up the normal trail to the ACC Kain hut, keep going up towards the Applebe Dome camp, vear off befor the camp to the Bugaboo-Snowpatch Col, up the Col (shitty enough without all your gear), across the Glacier to the Pigeon-Howser Col, Down the Col and to the camp. Basically the alternate is a shit show of an undesirable hike and a loss of 2 days climbing on the trip getting to the camp and back out.

Cost is relative.

If I were planning on basing a trip out of East Creek Basin I'd look at flying in too.

It's totally dependent on how many people you can get to go. If you can fill the helicopter, it's very reasonable IMO.
I priced it out about 6-months ago, but will leave it up to you to do the same, since fuel costs have no doubt affected the rates. Keep in mind heli-drops and p/u's are subject to weather, and the schedule is resumed in the order in which trips were booked. If there's a back-log of people waiting for a ride, and the weather-window only opens briefly, you could be SOL if you didn't allow ample time for the "Bugs weather" thing.

I see your point, but I mean, like, how much WOULD it cost?
