Hi,

This is my first post, so I hope I get it right. I'm moving from BC to Halifax in September and I was hoping to get some info on the local gyms and outdoor climbing. Also, are there 'social nights' or anything like that at the gyms where you can meet people to climb with?

Thanks!

check out the Monday night bouldering sessions, the Meltdown and (probably starting up this fall) leauge nights. The comps at the gyms are also always very social. If you're going to university check out the Dal gym (in fact check out any of the gyms, people are friendly at all of them).

There's tons of bouldering, and if you're into Trad climbing the cliffs may be short but they're really nice. PM me if you need some more info (I'm afraid I'm not living there anymore, but that's where I started climbing. I miss Nova Scotia...)
