I'm working on determining where and when the sport routes went up in Ontario. Thus far I have a chronology that looks like this: late seventies: The Mother and Two Pieces (Rattlesnake) early eighties: Moby Fly (Cow Crag) High Society (Nemo) more of Rattlesnake mid to late eighties: rest of Nemo Metcalf Lion's Head (old) Cape Croaker early nineties: Kelso Old Baldy White Bluff T.V. Tower mid/late nineties-present Crag X (new) Cape Croaker If anyone had anything to add or ammend, please do so. Thanks for your help. Does anyone know when new route moratoriums went into effect at Nemo, Kelso, Rattlesnake? Also, if people could list the routes at each crag that went up first, that'd be cool to (especially if you know the year they went up). Thanks again

Quote:"Does anyone know when new route moratoriums went into effect at Nemo, Kelso, Rattlesnake?" Probably sometime after people bolted the HELL out of the cliffs. I could rant a long time about this topic, but the Beginning of the End was Moby Fly, which was put up in 1983 I believe. You could contact Dave Smart at Gripped Magazine for a date on that. People can still put up new routes on these crags, Kathryn - however the routes need be climbed by fair means. And climbing without a drill requires courage.
