:shock: Hey iam from PEI and there is no climbing there.Can ne tell me why it is so hard to find a climbing partner in Ontario where climbing is so prominate. I climb @ a 5.10 + level and cannot find ne one that is serious or dedicated i go to the gym (off the wall) every second day.If you are serious in the Barrie ont. area please drop me a line @ fjewb@hotmail.com. I climb indoors and out top rope and sport i have all my own gear and i am a climbing nut am i alone?????? can't be.

I am sure that if you hang out at the climbing gym "Off The Wall" in Barrie that you will encounter like-minded climbers.

I agree, try to socialize at your local gym or crag. Also, you might talk to folks at the local gear shop. Thats how I met one of my partners. Also, some gyms and shops also have message boards (both online and physical) where climbers can find partners.

It's often easier to meet people at the gym if you try to join people bouldering and play some games of "add-on". Not everyone may be entirely psyched about indoor climbing right now, since the indoor season seems to be dragging on and on and on... and I know I get discouraged being forced to climb in a gym. Though, I too have noticed that despite the proximity of rock in the area, there are few climbers at the gym in Guelph that actually venture out of doors - strange...
