Began climbing as a toddler but it took the preacher's son (Hi Tim) to renew my interest in my late 20's.
Met up with some hippie dude named Adam (Hi Adam - Kindredlion) who threw me on my first climbing experience in J Tree (Toe Jam). A week in the desert and I was hooked, so good I had to do it again the following year.
Shortly thereafter, looking for a skilled local partner I contacted a colourful scoudrel named Pete (Hi Pete - Passthepitonspete). Pete - what a hoot!!! Second pitch of Sweet Dreams or was it Boris's Route (?)... Boy, can that man sing. Bon Echo may never be the same.
Since that day way back when I was brought to a climbing gym and I gazed at those walls ... Now everywhere I travel I see potential in rock.
I climb whenever I can. I don't climb hard. I don't compete. All I know is that I am at absolute peace on the side of a rock.
Currently I'm planning a trip to the Gunks where my guru Jim (corporateheights.ca) will take me the rest of the way. Will post pics when I get around to it...
