Hey Rendog - have you been keeping up with the climb eastern canada board? i've seen you posting in the Nova Scotia section, but check out the folks from NB, sounds like they've got some ice (though you're in the Valley? Could be a long drive for a day of climbing).

3 hour drive (at the speed limit) so about 2.5 isn't that bad. that's what we would pull to get to the weeping wall, but you couldn't beat a 15min hike in to that thing wOOt!!

At MEC they recommend a guy called Richard Massiah (416-932-1432) who's supposedly really experienced and a cool guy. That's just them though. I have no idea as I have never met the guy.

I'm also in Toronto and did a course with Equinox Adventures (www.equinoxadventures.com). Had a great time and learned a lot. $300 for a two weekend course, I seem to remember.

Alright, now that people have dropped a name... :) My company offers ice climbing instruction in Ontario and hey, I'm even a UTM student. Check out http://www.waypointadventures.com/winter.php for info.
