When I go on a pack trip, I always take a book. That way if I have a day stuck in the tent with bad weather, I have something to read. Sometimes it is a guide book, sometimes a magazine, sometimes a novel. Jared

Since it's "rest day" I usually rest. If it's raining I try to rest indoors.

Nate likes picking his nose!!! I plan trips, write, read, exercise, clean, pass gas, play video games, etc, etc, etc. Have to have an even balance between intellectualy stimulating and intellectualy draining. Keeps things even. I have to do that, I'm am crazy after all! Steve

Put on my rain jacket and go for a hike, pick up litter, go to a movie or the library, mostly laugh at people who are tripped out by rain (look at where I'm from)... It all dendends on how for from home and/or civilization you are, but climbers do the same kinds of things "ordinary" people do when life throws weather at them. Jeff
