Hello,
i'm new to the US and don't know anybody around here, so I am looking for people in or around College Park,MD, for slacklining (got a line), bouldering and climbing. Real rock would be killer, but I haven't bought a car yet (arrived just 2 days ago). I am more than willing to pay share gas costs.
Anyone ?

Hi Jens,
I lived in CP for nearly 4 years while I went to UMD. Will you be doing the same? If so, hook up with the crew at the campus climbing wall. The wall itself is decent (nothing amazing), but more importantly you'll meet people with cars who are taking weekend trips to Seneca, Coopers, and New River Gorge. Unfortunately, if you are not an actively enrolled student, they will not let you near the wall.
The other option is the Terrapin Trails Club which is the university's outdoors club. As I recall, you don't really need to be a student to be a member. They run frequent climbing trips to all the local crags. Check them out at http://www.ttc.umd.edu/ - their first meeting is this Monday, Aug 30.
I might be moving back to the area this winter, in which case I'd be happy to climb. Send me a message with your contact info!

hi there i live in pasadena. i also slack line boulder rock climb. love real rock and if you are willing to climb some gyms i go to earth treks columbia and also recently patapsco state park. if you would like to do any of these activity or climb anywhere im down . just private message me and i will give you my number
