Just returned to the Bronx after 6 years in California. I am looking for a parnter or partners to climb in the Gunks. I lead 5.7/5.8, have gear and rope. Right now weekdays are fine. If interested PM me.

Da Boogie Down! Do you have a car? I'm down for the Gunks, if I can get a ride.

Hey Charlie,
Just got laid off, company closed it doors. Ouch.
Lot of time to climb now, heading to the Leap this afternoon.
Drop a line when you visit.

there are two good parter listings for the gunks:

Gunks.com

ClimbNYC.com - which is for both partners and rides to the gunks.

Yeah, but they all so nasty at gunks.com…. Making innocent people criminals(U todd999 of all people know what I mean) and totally discriminating and discouraging new comers from posting…with all that important attitude from the active members…
Hence the migration to this (RC.com) friendly site we/I love it here and rather having a partner I meet here then the Gunks.com…they have a reputation of cocky climbing form

I met a few climbers on the ClimbNYC partner listing that I climb regularly with at the gyms. Maybe it's because they were newbies like myself. Anyway, I'll give you a thumbs up on your partner listing. However, the NYC message board is pretty much dead, and the Gunks board is bland and boring compared to RC.com's. However, I do check it out here and there if I want something specific about the Gunks or the climbing info on NYC.

Anyway, looking for a partner/ride for Columbus Day. I have a full rack, and yes they are real, and they are spectacular.

My original post was made here and at Gunks.com. Lots have responded (PM) and I have spent the last two weeks climbing with some great folks from as far away as St. Louis.
BTW just climbed for the first time on a rainy day at the Gunks (Thursday Oct. 10th). It can be done on bone dry rock at the Gunks - yellow wall area.
Rob, with all this time off I hope you're working assiduously on beating Hans Florine's recent record on El Cap's Nose route :-)
