Betcha never heard this one before... If you're in the Baltimore/Washington area, a great way to meet like-minded climbers of various types and abilities is to sign up for the DC Outdoor Rockclimbing group mailing list, http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dcoutdoorrockclimbing/ and you will find that there are often trips planned and people going where you would like to go anyways. My first trip to the New was as a result of these guys and I had a GREAT time.
