I am new to the DC/Baltimore area and am looking for some people around my age(25) guys or girls, to head outdoors with. I am a 5.10 climber indoors and like to sport climb outdoors. I have a decent beginners rack and have just started to learn how to trad climb. I have everything needed for top roping and would like to get outdoors here in the DC area and see what the area has to offer. Anyone interested?

1) get in touch with the dcoutdoorrockclimbing group: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dcoutdoorrockclimbing/

2) if you're up for some 5.9-5.10 trad at Seneca (like, say, TOMORROW) just PM me

Try the routes database here on the site if you are simply looking for information about areas near DC.

I threw in some entries for Old Rag; there are a bunch for Seneca; and you can get the Eric Horst guidebook (Rock Climbing Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia) from any Hudson Trail or REI in the area.

Do post a note to the DC outdoor rock climbing list, for sure. You will probably find someone at your level and of similar interests within a few weekend trips.

Hey, if you guys want to try out some Trad at Seneca, hook up with Jabbeaux and I as we should be out at Seneca most weekends between now and winter.
