Hey, I'm new to the area, and with this semester of college coming to an end am gearing up towards a summer on the rocks. I don't know many people in town yet, and those I do are not eligible climbing partners. I’m 24, looking for someone around my age or older that is a TRUSTWORTHY person. Oh ya, one other stipulation: I am looking for a climber with a license and vehicle . I have a truck, (down in South Carolina) and will not be driving until mid summer. Once I start driving again, believe you me, I will be happy to drive. For the time being I am happy to always contribute an ample portion of travel expenses. Money isn’t the issue, transportation is. As far as credibility, I have made some solid friends through the Louisville Hiking Meetup that would vouch for me. If you’re in or near Louisville and are also looking for a competent and confident partner, let me know and we’ll go climbing! Isaac

Isaac, I wish I saw your thread before making my own! If you want to know more about my situation, read the thread titled "Going to Ft. Knox." I won't even be in Kentucky until mid July, but I'd like to find a partner who knows the state a little more than I do. I'm 22 and have been climbing for almost 3 years. I can trad any 5.6, some 5.7, and even fewer 5.8. I can sport around 5.8 to 5.9. And I don't mind driving either, I have a little 2008 Civic :) -Omar

coool man, well we'll have to make a trip to Red River Gorge. I would like to get into more trad climbing, but wouldn't be opposed to sport either. There's plenty of 5.6 - 5.9 at the Gorge in both styles of climbing.

Sounds good! I report to Knox 19 July and I'm there til 18 Nov. I hope you're okay with being flexible, the Army isn't very reliable when it comes to giving weekends. Send me an email with your contact info: os_shaikh@yahoo.com I'll try to keep in contact but I hope you don't mind if I disappear and then randomly email you, I'm mad busy with graduation coming up. Looking forward to climbing with you!
