Im looking to meet new people in this new sport I love, hoping to find some people to meet up with to climb. Hopefully I dont sound weird posting this but I didnt see any other way to meet people interested in the same sport as me. So no im not weird haha

I dont know of many areas in iowa to climb, since im new at this. But I am willing to travel 2-3 hours to a spot.

Oh damn, you're way over there. Well if you're up for a six hour drive, I'm trying to find someone to camp/climb with for a weekend up at Pallisades in Yankton SD. Not this coming weekend, but maybe the following. Send me a message if you're interested. Check out Palisades, really nice considering where it's located. I can supply camping/climbing gear.

I'm here in Iowa City. There's a sweet wall on the college campus or else there's a decent little outdoor area just outside of Monticello.

I live in wellman, just south of iowa city but i go up to pictured rocks in monticello almost every weekend. I used to go to the indoor wall when i lived in iowa city but now that i have my own gear i like natrual rock better. So i am coming to monticello in late july for almost a month. I have been told about picture rocks from the girl i am visiting but know nothing about it. I am judging from this thread that finding a partner wont be to hard? What r the grades like im getting to old to spend all day climbing shit above my ability. Nice and relaxing is more my speed now.

Its mostly 5.10-5.11 sport climbing. There are a few good beginner routes and 5.12 as well. Comic gallery is my favorite so far been there a few times now. Me n a buddy go every weekend so maybe well catch ya out there. If anyone in ic wants to join feel free to pm me theres 2-4 spots left in my car depending on your size and comfort bubble. Lol

I just moved to the quad cities last fall and I have been looking for some place to climb. I am a little out of shape now but if someone is looking to do some climbing I am down for a trip somewhere.
