This time of year it's going to be ice in eastern and northeastern Iowa. There is an article in the latest issue of Iowa outdoors of a guy who ice climbs. I believe he is with the Iowa Mountaineers(out of Iowa City). If it warms up for a week above 40 degrees, Blue Mounds routes should be available in SW Minnesota.
