I have a sad story for you so pay attention.
About seven years ago a friend in a local spot and an acquaintance in the valley die doing some wicked rope jumps so I hung up my rack and put away my ropes to try to recover, then I moved to Kentucky and had all my gear stolen by a non climber. Wait it gets better, I didn't know of any crags except the RRG but I didn't know how to get there or have a partner to go with.
Five years ago I met my wife and I love her with all my heart but shes not a climber Norw does she want to, o I get the "I'll belay or watch" but that doesn't help on those epic multi pitch climbs I use to love. Then I found a partner at a job I had and two days before we were headed to the RRG he got fired for beating on the boss, glad that didn't work out!
So I was always bummed cause I hadn't been on the side of a sunny face in what seemed like forever, I missed the flappers, taste of chalk, the pump after a crux move but then my wife gave me the good news that she had something cooking in the oven. On July fifth 2005 I had a beautiful baby girl. I love her so much and want her to know this feeling, I want her to know this life style and, all the great people she can meet.
I'm on a tangent sorry, anyways I still have not been able to find a partner in this area or close so I can go climbing plus I work third shift so my daughter doesn't heave to go to day care which only leaves me with the weekends or mornings if its local. I thought I'd try this site cause I just now there's a solo climber out there that's tired of bouldering, not that there's any thing wrong with bouldering.
I'll give you alittle info on me if your interested, I've climbed pretty much all over the united states. I grew up climbing in Yosemite, Tahoe, Bishop and the butter milks, j-tree, red rocks, etc. I also have climbed and learned from some of the worlds best climbers, I used to be able to lead trad in the upper five elevens or so and low thirteens on sport routs but who knows now.
Please help me find my soul, I'm easy going, trust worthy, fun, and am willing to drive to some crags depends on distance or if I tell my wife or not ha ha joke. Well if your interested let me know or if you just want to here climbing stories I've got lots, thanks for listening.
Peace, love and chalk dust.

I started too late to be climbing in the rare air of .11 .12 's ,but do like the trad in the 8 and 9 's . and the red is as close as it gets from Indy. A trip there sounds good. Seneca over the 4th of July. Old guy 53 :?
