So im going to graduate school for Organic chemistry and universiyt of illinois at urbana-champaigne is looking like a pretty sweet school. Whats the climbing like in the state and how easy is it to find partners etc... Ill be working 6 days a week so at best ill manage a full day out. Will probably have a car cause its a fucking corn field for miles and miles and miles on end. If only the schools in colorado where top 10. Oh i do trad and sport not so much bouldering sigh T

Illinois is flat. Champaign County is flatter. Unless you want to climb in a gym, the closest climbing is Southern Illinois, three or four hours away.

There's a climbing club at UIUC, when I was there there was someone going south most every weekend if the weather was good. Look here: https://netfiles.uiuc.edu/ro/www/ClimbingClubatUIUC/ (under crags, that's me climbing the lieback under Opie's Kitchen)
