Do me a favor and the rest, there are registered climb areas where you are at for school. Let me know, so I can Post it.
Go to the athletic's dept to fill you in. Let me know ASAP. I will then pass the word. If you come to St. Louis, I will hook you up here.

I went to Truman State last semester so I know how flat it is up in Kirksville. But, there is hope. There is some quality climbs in Columbia, only 1 1/2 hours, at Capen Park. Also, it is not that bad of a drive to Truman Lake, where there is a ton of climbing. Good luck at KCOM (I am assuming). Also, look up the Truman Climbing Club. The guys are really cool and they go climbing almost every weekend for really cheap and they provide almost all the gear. Also, there is a climbing gym at KCOM

Columbia has some ok climbs, but Capen Park is very small and is usually greasy from the wet rock and high traffic. North of you is The Palisades near Cedar Rapids. Though I've never been there, I've heard it's very quality. Click Here for more info on it.

There's a book called Metamorphic Forms by Marcus Floyd which isn't that good, but has lots of areas in the Midwest, including north MO and IA, that you could check out. Click Here for info on the book.

Check out Earthquake Hollow. Another place I have been (however don't know about the access issues) is the Pinicles offa' that north south running road from Columbia to Kirksville.
