i found an undone line at Lower Gorge Region that would go trad and bolts. I have done the line on top rope so I know it will go. My question is how do I get permission to add the bolts for the top half and for an anchor at the top?

Check with the RRGCC on specifics but if the desired route is on Forest Service land you'll likely need expressed authorization to add any fixed anchors (including bolts). Additionally, there may be restrictions where you'll have to use a hand-drill to do the job. Again, check with the folks at the RRGCC. They'd know more definitively. As a point of my own curiousity, have you bolted routes before? Mike

I sent the RRGCC an email , I'll see what they say. I would be helping Chick Holtkamp bolt the route. Chick has numerous FA's (Devil Tower, Josh, Indian Creek, Yosemite, Vedauwoo..etc.) and has been cranking for 30+ years. He doesn't use a computer so I am helping him find the answer. Thanks for the help!
